Doula: Who am I?

Hello, Lovelies!

I thought I would start off the second blog post as an introduction, about me! I am a mother to three crazy, loud, messy, energetic boys. Over the years, they have caused me many grey hairs, tears, and the always questioning of my sanity. Life without them, though, would be quite boring. The good times always outweigh the bad. I would not be the mother I am, without my entrusted partner, Ryan. The father to my children and my rock. He supports me, in all the crazy things I do and is always there to catch me when I fall. I am ever grateful, for all four of the men in my life. The love and support , that I have, make it possible for me to following my dreams. My doula journey began, in 2016. I have always had a passion for all things pregnancy, birth and babies. I get overjoyed when friends and family announce they have wee ones on the way, and want to know everything about their pregnancies and births! You could call me a junkie, so to speak. It wasn't until one of my close friends had a few bumps along the way, with her own pregnancy, that really gave me the boost I needed to enter the world of doula-ing. I was pointed in the direction of the most phenomenal agency and mentors - Bebo Mia. My beautiful doula, recommended them when I approached her about different training's. And my god, am I ever glad I asked and listened! I have had the most remarkable 6 month journey, with them. I have taken in-depth fertility, pre & postpartum doula courses, sleep education courses, and soon to be breastfeeding and eco living courses! I feel so encouraged, empowered, and most of all educated by the women who run this business/training. No question goes unanswered, no rock left un-turned. They are continually striving to make sure their students and alumni have the best and newest information out there. I never use the word 'blessed', but that is exactly what I would consider happening upon this training. It has given me the backbone to my future - and is it is ever going to be a good one! In my spare time, I can usually be found taking my boys to and from various extra curricular activities, practicing my love for photography so one day I can offer my clients birth/newborn photos, working at our local boxing club, making a new DIY project for our home, exploring the outdoors, be it close to home or abroad, or simply sipping on a hot coffee or glass of wine. I have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into building myself and my business up, over time. I am grateful for the doula community, and their constant support. I am excited to have you, on this journey, and grow together!
